Three Little Miracles Baby Boom edition by Rebecca Winters Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

Marvelous marvelous story with a plot twist I never expected. When I discovered the crux of the heroine's angst, it really shook me. I tried to imagine how I'd feel if I'd found myself in the same situation. It does happen to people. Read this story to see how it all pans out. Great reading!

And my review

I bought this book only because it had Rebecca Winter's name on it. I've found her romances to be sweet and heart-warming, as well as family oriented.

One thing I didn't like was Tracey's inital lame excuses as to why she wanted out of the marriage. The "I just don't want to be married anymore" excuse doesn't fly with me, so I had a hard time liking the heroine at first. Later, after her real reason becomes clear (I won't give it away, but it's a compelling one), a big 'ick' factor kicked in. The reason they couldn't be together was one that grossed me out.

Later, of course, it turned out to be a big misunderstanding, but that revelation came so late that I could really enjoy the romance between Julien and Tracey, as the 'ick' part of it had left too much 'gross-out' residue, so to speak.

I will probably try more of this author's work in the future, but this book was not one of her best.
This is one of the most touching stories I have ever read. Rebecca Winters is one of my favorite authors and she has outdone herself with this book. The couple, Tracey and Julien, share a very rare, deep, powerful, abiding love. They had to wait a long time until they could finally be together - Tracey is ten years younger than Julien and he wanted to please her father by waiting for her to grow up. They spent a lot of time together, but had a purely platonic relationship until Tracey graduated from college, at which point Julien proposed to her. A dream come true for this young woman who had been dreaming about Julien ever since she was nine years old.

The story starts over a year after their return from the most heavenly honeymoon. Tracey is in hospital because she temporarily lost her memory after an accident. A year ago, she had run away from her husband, after receiving the most terrible news. She had given birth to the most adorable triplets a month before the accident. So she lost many months with her precious babys. Julien wants to win her back - because he senses that his wife still loves him. It was wonderful to see how this appealing, strong-willed man continued to fight for their marriage, even when every circumstance seemed to be against their staying a little family. The scenes with the triplets were heartwarming. I found this to be a very moving, heartwrenching story with a beautiful ending - one of my favorite Rebecca Winters books and definitely a keeper.
Great Big Terrible Misunderstandings can be quite irritating. I will roll my eyes occasionally, but there are far worse tropes and stupid plot points that are much worse. Until now.

This heroine has to be the dumbest, the most emotional, least rational heroine I have read in a long time or ever. Given the genre and sub-genre we're reading, that's saying something. Look at the faces of her little cherubs on the cover. Even they know something's up.

Nitwit finally wakes and remembers her life from her looonnnnngggg amnesiac state. She freaks when she sees her husband, the best, most patient, long suffering hero in RomanceLand. Turns out he's her brother. The deathbed confession from his father who, along with her mother, allowed her to marry her supposed half brother. Reality check number one.

She freaks when she sees him. She freaks when she sees her daughter - oh no the genetic dice roll!!! She freaks some more when she finds out that in addition to one possible genetic oddity, she has three. Triplets one girl, two boys. Yep, one trope is still in place, the incredibly magically multiplying sperm of a Harlequin Italian alpha-romero hero. I guess we have to toss in the magically mutliplying eggs of the h if I recall basic biology. (I jest, but it may be true.

She decides to stick around with her husband brother, but doesn't say why she's giving him the cold shoulder. In all the different ways she can break his heart, she picks door number two. Why tell him the very reasonable concern that they are half-siblings when he can just think she either doesn't love him anymore or possibly found someone else? Hmm. Even the shrink tells her to tell the H.

To add more examples to how big of an idiot she is, she fires the nannies as she wants to be the acting mother. Hey, I am not a nanny fan unless they are the h, but triplets! You need help girl.

Big misunderstanding is cleared up from an infallible source. Is the infallible source DNA? No, it's Aunt somebody. Heavy sigh.

Yes, as many reviewers have pointed out, it was sweet they loved each other. The hero is a keeper, but I prefer active brain cells in my heroines.
I loved it and must read super excellent
